Meet our Toowoomba dentists
Dr Kevin Bennett B.D.Sc (Hons. Qld)
Our Principal Dentist, Dr Kevin Bennett established the Toowoomba dental practice in 1976, after graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons). Since then, Dr Bennett has treated multiple generations of many local families for decades. He is known for providing an honest opinion and always having his patients best interests at heart. Dr Bennett is highly skilled and competent in all aspects of general dentistry. He especially enjoys prosthodontics, including crown and bridgework and providing a full denture service. Dr Bennett is known for his caring nature and helping patients feel at ease and relaxed during treatment. Dr Bennett also offers oral surgery treatment under general anaesthetic (GA) for very young or anxious patients. Outside of dentistry, Dr Bennett enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife, children and three grandchildren. Dr Bennett sees patients at both our Margaret Street and Anzac Avenue clinics and welcomes appointments from both existing and new patients.
Dr Sophie Bennett B.D.S. (JCU)
Dr Kevin Bennett's daughter, Dr Sophie Bennett has joined the team at Bennett Dental. Dr Sophie has experience treating patients in Cairns, Townsville and Mareeba in North Queensland but returned to her hometown Toowoomba to join the family practice in late 2017. Dr Sophie enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but her special interests include preventive and restorative dentistry, fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridges) and oral surgery (tooth extractions). Dr Sophie enjoys treating patients of all ages, and has experience treating very young and elderly patients. Dr Sophie is known for her relaxed, calm and very gentle chair-side manner, which helps put nervous or anxious patients at ease. Dr Sophie also enjoys completing volunteer dentistry, and recently completed a philanthropic dental trip to Cambodia to treat needy patients. When Dr Sophie is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Bennie and cat, Binx. Dr Sophie sees patients at both our Margaret Street and Anzac Avenue clinics, which means we have been able to increase our hours of operation.
